Within 30 years, the HAHN Automation Group has grown from a small engineering office in the Hunsrück region, Germany, to a global group of companies. Thomas Hähn founded the company "Hähn Engineering" in 1992. This later evolved into HAHN Automation GmbH, which opened its first foreign office in the USA just eight years after its foundation.

In 2014, RSBG SE acquired a majority stake in HAHN Automation, which at that time employed 350 people at seven locations worldwide. The HAHN Group GmbH was founded in 2017 and served as a platform for the further development of the group companies. In 2023, the HAHN Automation Group merged all individual brands of the former HAHN Group network worldwide into one strong global brand. Today, the company stands for industry-specific expertise, an extensive project portfolio and a global organization with a focus on one-stop service.
